Alto Vineyards was established following its first vintage in 1988 by Guy Renzaglia, a pioneer in the grape growing and winemaking industry in Southern Illinois. Inspired by his Italian heritage, Guy initiated the rebirth of viticulture in this region. Alto Vineyards has since developed into a celebrated establishment, gathering over 1,000 state, national, and international awards. The vineyard’s legacy is carried on by Mark Renzaglia and his family, who continue to cultivate its longstanding traditions.
