Welcome to Barrel Head Winery, a revered establishment nestled just south of Dubuque, Iowa, known for its dedication to producing premium French Bordeaux style dry red wines and a range of other captivating varieties. Under the guidance of new owners Aaron & Jodie Fuhreck since June 2023, we continue building upon a rich heritage of winemaking introduced by founder John Burns.

Barrel Head Winery was established in 2008, quickly earning a reputation globally for its exquisite wines. The winery operates on a cherished legacy, emphasizing handcrafted wine production without any shortcuts.

Barrel Head is spread over 3 acres of meticulously cared-for vineyards, where each grape is hand-picked to ensure the highest quality:

• Estate Grown: The grapes are cultivated with great attention, ensuring each vine delivers the best fruit possible.
• Wine Making: Each wine is handcrafted right from picking to bottling, adhering to traditional methods.
