Clear Creek Vineyard & Winery is the fulfillment of Ignacio's lifelong dream to cultivate a vineyard and produce his own wines. The winery emerged from his deep-rooted passion for viticulture which began during his studies in viticulture at the University of Arizona at age 20. Despite initially lacking the funds to pursue his dream immediately, Ignacio's career took various turns allowing him to plant small vineyards wherever his career brought him. After 33 years, he found the ideal location in West Clear Creek's fertile valley in 1999, leading to the establishment of Clear Creek Vineyard & Winery.

Vineyard Details and Wine Production

The vineyard is committed to sustainable and organic farming practices, distinguishing itself through several innovative methods:

• Utilization of geese and chickens to manage weeds and pests.
• Irrigation with high nitrogen water from a custom-built fish pond, thereby avoiding synthetic fertilizers.
• Planting of nitrogen-producing cover crops such as vetch, clover, and peas between vineyard rows.

These practices contribute to a healthier vineyard ecosystem and help in producing high-quality grapes. Notably, Clear Creek Vineyard & Winery has earned the Silver Innovator Sustainability Certification, making it a pioneer in sustainable winemaking in Arizona.
