Crooked Barn Vineyards was brought to life by Marcos and Heidi Martins, who moved from Brazil to America over thirty years ago. Initially setting roots in the San Francisco Bay Area, they later pursued their winemaking dreams, which culminated in the founding of Crooked Barn Vineyards. The property, developed in 1913, was once used for grazing cattle and has been maintained to echo its original essence, including preserving the iconic crooked barn that inspired the winery's name.

Vineyard Details and Wine Production

Spread across a sprawling 40 farmable acres, with an additional 28 acres of madrone and oak woodland, Crooked Barn Vineyards is dedicated to cultivating four red Bordeaux varietals:

• Cabernet Sauvignon
• Cabernet Franc
• Merlot
• Malbec

The vineyard's steep, south-facing slopes are ideal for these varietals, benefiting from the Mediterranean climate of Southern Oregon, which ensures quality and flavor development in the grapes. All vineyard maintenance is conducted manually or with the assistance of a tractor crawler, underscoring the family's commitment to hands-on, sustainable farming practices.
