Description
Log Cabin Farm, Vineyard & Winery
Welcome to Log Cabin Farm, Vineyard & Winery, a historic site with a rich agricultural lineage that extends over 75 years. Nestled in the once bustling community of Nashua, Florida, our property has transformed from growing orange groves and tung oil to becoming a significant name in the wine industry of Florida.
History and Background
Log Cabin Winery is set on lands with agricultural activities dating back centuries. Initially developed in the 1870s, northern settlers who were drawn by the warm, tropical climate and proximity to the fertile St. Johns River founded Nashua. These settlers established orange groves, tung oil farms, and grain fields. Today, the farm embraces its historic roots while focusing on viticulture.
Vineyard Details and Wine Production
Occupying ten acres of fertile farmland, Log Cabin Winery specializes in commercial Muscadine grapes, a choice well-suited to Florida’s climate. The vineyard is driven by a family philosophy that emphasizes the importance of quality fruit as the foundation for producing quality wines. Being family-owned and operated, every aspect of production is handled with care, ensuring that each bottle reflects the high standards set by the winery’s heritage.
