Olathea Creek Vineyard & Winery derives its name from the term "olethe," which means beautiful in the Fox language, aptly describing the scenic beauty of the location which was once a campsite for the Sauk and Fox tribes. The property also honors the legacy of the former Olathea Golf Course.

Owners: Julia and Bryce Flaherty, both natives of the Quad Cities area, bring extensive knowledge from their backgrounds in economics, marketing, and biology to their vineyard management and wine production endeavors.

Vineyard Details and Wine Production

The vineyard spans across 2 acres with a focus on two grape varieties:

• Petite Pearl: 80% of the vines - a red wine grape developed in Minnesota.
• L’Acadie Blanc: 20% of the vines - a white wine grape originally from Canada.
